
Bruce Rector, MD is Senior Medical Consultant to Tag & Associates.
Bruce is experienced in integrating reimbursement objectives into all phases of life cycle management for drugs, biologicals, devices and diagnostics. He is skilled in crafting early stage strategic message platforms and applying them to market access programs as data matures and markets evolve. Bruce also excels at facilitating physician advisory meetings and internal client meetings that have pricing and reimbursement components.
For 12 years prior to affiliating with Tag, Bruce was Senior Vice President, Medical Strategist at Ogilvy Healthworld. He gained extensive experience in planning and executing medical strategy in US and international markets, working from the perspective of medical advertising and medical education to support pricing and reimbursement activities. Whether guiding brand development, planning the launch campaign, identifying and interviewing national and global opinion leaders, strategic issue management, or implementation of marketing plans, Bruce brings valuable clinical insight to our decision analysis and payer outreach. Importantly, Bruce's experience in medical advertising and education enables Tag & Associates to better integrate reimbursement components into the broader plans and strategies being developed by our clients' agencies.
Bruce received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He performed a transitional internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and a residency in Radiology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
