Howard Tag, JD has been in the forefront of shaping payment policy for new medical technologies since 1985. Prior to establishing Tag & Associates in 1998, Howard was Executive Vice President/COO of S&FA, Inc. and its successor company, PAREXEL International Medical Marketing Services.
S&FA was a pioneer in the field of reimbursement planning and problem solving, and in the design and operation of patient assistance programs (PAPs). Howard was actively involved in obtaining reimbursement for hundreds of drugs and devices and was responsible for dozens of favorable government and private insurance coverage policies for his clients' technologies. PAPs designed by S&FA brought free or discounted treatments to thousands of patients.
Before joining S&FA, Howard was Executive Director of the New York Legislature's Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Washington Counsel to the J.C. Penney Company for its retail and mail order pharmacies. He is a member of the District of Columbia and New York State Bars, Food and Drug Law Institute, American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Law Committee of the DC Bar Association and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
